Just Sign It This Time, Arnold
…unless you’re trying to Gaslight us with an annual case of déjà vu.
Harvey Milk Day Bill Headed To Governor’s Desk A bill to establish a statewide day honoring slain former San Francisco city supervisor and gay civil rights leader Harvey Milk is headed to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s desk. …
What is this, the second year in a row? Third? Whatever — it’s gone beyond annoying and tiresome. Just stop pandering to the haters, stop wasting the legislature’s time, sign the damned thing already, and be done with it.
…Even though a majority of pigheaded bigots in this stupid state oppose it. Which should come as no surprise to anyone. California has turned into a wasteland of hatred and stupidity.
On the other hand, you know what? I don’t care if you sign it or not, Arnold. I’m too tired to care anymore. And a day of recognition isn’t going to secure our civil rights any more than a Medal of Freedom did.
So… Big deal. Do whatever you want. Sign it or don’t — either way, we’ll still be second- and third-class citizens.
