Barriers in the Castro? Rumors Flying About Prop 8 Decision Tomorrow

Unite the Fight:

San Francisco Police Department are putting up crowd barriers in the Castro District.

It was also told to me that the police let it slip that they were informed to be prepared for a Thursday decision. I don’t think they would let that kind of order be “slipped.” So if it was, it was intentional.

Another source tells me the that the SFPD has NO NEWS of an announcement but that the barricades were just a contingency plan in case it was announced tomorrow.

Hmm. Well, the court usually hands down decisions Tuesdays and Thursdays, with 24-hours’ notice.

And they’ve only got 14 days left to get off the pot.

I feel exactly the way I did March 4th, when we thought there was a possibility the court would rule the following day:

I must admit to you, my stomach is knotted with fear right now — perhaps even more than the night of November 3rd. I just want it to be over. Whatever way it goes, I just want it to be over. Then at least my wife and I can start discussing what to do next.
