Saturday NO ON 8 Faith Events Throughout California
SACRAMENTO — October 31 — This Saturday, a coalition of California clergy members and worshipers from diverse faiths will hold rallies to speak out against Proposition 8. The events will show the broad opposition to Proposition 8 by people of faith, faith leaders and others who reject this discriminatory initiative. The events will feature those whose faith has called on them to speak out against Proposition 8. Many of the events, which will take place in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Long Beach, Sacramento, Redlands and Modesto, will be followed by phone banks, Election Day trainings, and visibility efforts.
Similar events will be held on Sunday, November 2nd in Costa Mesa, Santa Rosa, and Fresno.

WHAT: The “No on Prop 8″ campaign will be “Making the Right Call” to reach out to voters the weekend before Election Day. This day of action will include an interfaith service, a news conference and on-the-ground campaign work, including visibility actions, phone banking and a candlelight rally. In addition, caravans will depart from St. Paul’s and head to the Registrar of Voters office for early voting.
