Whos’ “Indoctrinating” Students Into an Ungodly Lifestyle? The Mormons, That’s Who.
Beaming “special live broadcast[s]” into schools, into maleable young minds in order to make them hate us horrible homos, while pretending their hatred is just merciful, Jesus-like, goodlygodliness…
Per this young Mormon:
Proposition 8 Special Broadcast I received word today at my school that this Wednesday, October 8th, there will be a special live broadcast held to “present information relating to California’s Proposition 8.” Participating in this broadcast will be Elder M. Russell Ballard, Elder Richard E. Cook, and Elder L. Whitney Clayton. ”[They] will explain the principles and doctrine for the [LDS] Church’s active position on this issue.”
I am especially anxious for this seeing that I was a little disappointed Prop 8 was not addressed more directly at General Conference. But I guess that’s probably because it only involves a small portion of the Church members . . . right now at least.
I plan to take scrupulous notes at this broadcast, and then hopefully post some of the highlights in a follow-up post to this one.
Yes, do take “scrupulous notes,” and hang onto them — ’cause, kid, when you grow up and realize what a mindfark the LDS church did on your tender brain, and what a hatchet job it did on Jesus, you’re going to want to refer back to your notes when you beg forgiveness for your treatment of the least of your brothers like so much dog crap under your heel.
By the way, Mr. Sparks, do you realize that the same hate-filled arguments used against gay people by the Mormon church today are exactly the same arguments that, had you been unfortunate enough to have been born half a century earlier, would have kept you from marrying your bride?
I don’t give a flip whether you agree or not that marriage equality extends to same-sex couples, or is even comparable to the now-defunct laws that would have kept you and the little missus from making it legal; do you understand that the arguments your church is using against gay people today are the very same arguments used against interracial marriages in this country less than half a century ago?
Do you even care?
