The Coloradoan reports that Marilyn Musgrave (R-Bigotsville)…
…stepped back into the debate over gay marriage in recent weeks by signing on as a co-sponsor of constitutional amendments to define marriage as between a man and a woman.“The sponsors of the amendments asked her to be a co-sponsor. The congresswoman supports traditional marriage so she agreed,” Musgrave Chief of Staff Guy Short said Monday.
Musgrave introduced constitutional amendments in 2003 and 2006 that defined marriage as between a man and a woman. …
Musgrave faces what is expected to be a tough re-election challenge this year from Democrat Betsy Markey.
“Nothing’s changed,” Markey spokeswoman Anne Caprara said. “She’s made this big deal about being this new person, this new image, but we’re still back on same old issues when people are paying $4 for gas and wondering how they’re going to be paying for their grocery bill.” …
