You may have heard about Felipe Rivera.
Felipe Rivera, 43, is charged with a hate crime as well as aggravated criminal sexual assault and other offenses, said a spokesman for the Cook County state’s attorney’s office. If convicted, he could face more than 30 years in prison, a source said.
…..
“Mr. Rivera got upset apparently because he believed the victim, No. 1, didn’t respond to a female and then, No. 2, somehow winked at him — made what he perceived as a sexual advance,” said Cicero police spokesman Dan Proft.
Rivera then punched the victim in the face, Proft said, and was asked to leave the party. He allegedly waited outside for the victim. According to Rivera, the victim, 37, then propositioned Rivera for a sex act — a claim the victim denies, Proft said.
Rivera followed the victim to the outer staircase of a basement apartment, where he removed the victim’s pants and raped him, authorities said. Afterward, Rivera punched the victim in the head, leaving him semi-conscious, then inserted a metal broom handle in the victim’s rectum, sources said.
But of course hate-monger Peter Labarbera , who feels Rivera has been wrongly charged, has to put his unique spin on the event.
Regardless, what we still have with this case is a maniac who sexually assaulted another man, while later claiming to hate “faggots.” Strange. Most men would never think of sodomizing another man, and last I heard anal sodomy was seen as the defining act of male homosexuality.
Of course the sexual assault of men by other men is nothing new and it has nothing to do with homosexuality. Men have been sexually assaulting one another in wartime for centuries. Male prisoners assault one another for similar reasons; to show their dominance over others. It has nothing to do with sexuality, it has to do with power. But Peter is never one to let facts get in the way of his bigotry.
It is even more ridiculous to treat the victims of same-sex rape with greater deference than, say, straight women raped by men — or, conversely, to punish “straight” male rapists of women any less harshly than, say, a “homo-hating” pseudo-straight guy who sodomizes another man in an act of rage – simply because the latter says he “hates faggots.”
We need harsher laws against people like Felipe Rivera thanks to people like you, Peter. Because you spew so much bile and hatred against us that people like Felipe Rivera think it’s OK to rape, beat and even kill us because we are gay. You demonize us, turn us into monsters and make it so people who buy your lies recoil in horror at the mere thought of being touched by us, or even being in the same room with us. That means we don’t have to do anything to provoke being abused except exist, and any LGBT person is at risk when a homophobe is around.
I’ll make a deal with you, Peter. When you get the government to eradicate the hate-crime laws that protect you as a Christian, I’ll stop striving for hate-crimes laws for LGBT people. I expect hell to freeze over before that happens though.

AFA has posted another ActionAlert so their lemmings can attempt to force Ford to comply with their religious beliefs.
Ford Motor Company offers sex change benefits
Reads the headline at the top of the page.
Ford offers medical benefits to help pay expenses of those who choose to undergo sex change operations. Ford pays for mental health counseling, hormone therapy, medical visits, and short-term disability after surgical procedures for employees who desire to change their sex.
Well then, that’s not actually sex-change benefits, is it? The employee still has to pay for the surgery out of pocket. But AFA conveniently leaves that fact out because it’s not conducive to their campaign.
Click Here and scroll down to see Ford’s report card on how it spends profits to help support homosexuality.
Here AFA shows its complete inability (or lack of desire) to discern the difference between transgender people and gay people. Granted some TG people are also gay, but many are not. Like most RRRW bigots AFA presumes we all fall into the same boat, and they really don’t care so long as they can stop us from getting any rights and privileges at all.
Join the boycott of Ford Motor Company. To learn more about Ford’s promotion of the homosexual agenda, click here. AFA has asked Ford to remain neutral in the culture war but Ford has refused. If you have not already done so, please sign the Boycott Ford Pledge.
They don’t want Ford to remain neutral, they want Ford to keep denying LGBT people rights, thereby taking AFA’s side. Anybody who dares to give us any form of rights/benefits/privileges is, in AFA’s opinion, “promoting the Homosexual Agenda”. Why, then, is someone who fails to do so not promoting the RRRW Agenda?
Maybe they’ll get back to me on that. But I won’t hold my breath.

While tooling around the Intertubes I came across this little pile of nonsense.
A spokesman for Concerned Women for America warns that yet another piece of legislation being promoted in the Democrat-led Congress would force taxpayers to subsidize immoral and dangerous behavior.
Of course the legislation to which CWA is referring is HR 4838, which proposes to provide same-sex domestic partner benefits to federal employees.
The article goes on to say:
“For the government to take a moral stance here [regarding] people who engage in homosexual conduct is essentially equating that conduct to natural sexual relations between married, heterosexual couples,” states Barber. “This really introduces us to the whole idea of gay ‘marriage’ at the national level to federal ENDA.”
No, what it does is recognize that committed same-sex couples have the same rights to benefits that opposite-sex ones do. It has nothing to do with what people do in the bedroom, if they do anything at all. Only the RRRW has an unnatural obsession with what goes on in peoples’ bedrooms.
Barber believes most people do not realize that all of the major benefits being sought by homosexual “couples” are already available through relatively simple means, such as power of attorney and rights of inheritance….”It’s just a matter of filling out the paperwork,” he explains.
First of all, many of the rights, such as health insurance, dental insurance, survivors benefits, and the like would not be available “through relatively simple means” such as power of attorney and rights of inheritance. These rights must be granted through one partner’s employer to the other partner, and while some do it as a matter of company policy, it typically takes a law to force them to do so.
Second of all, even those rights that can be made available through power of attorney and rights of inheritance require partners to obtain the services of attorneys, file legal paperwork, and sometimes even carry that paperwork with them to ensure their rights are enforced. This adds up to innumerable legal battles and costs that opposite-sex couples don’t have to face and it is patently unfair.
“But I think the big issue here again, the big problem, is that this lends official government recognition to unhealthy and immoral behavior.”
Unhealthy and immoral behavior? Like engaging in a pre-emptive war which has killed 86,942 and counting, based on lies? Like penalizing people who try to feed poor/homeless people? Vetoing health care for needy children?
Funny how narrow certain people’s idea of “unhealty and immoral behavior” is. They don’t care if people are dying in the streets, being slaughtered over seas, or going without health insurance. But if the federal government allows gay couples to have rights that’s a travesty. As far as I’m concerned, some people have horribly skewed ideals.

In case you haven’t heard, there is a War on Christmas. Across America the “cultural fascists” have been committing the following heinous assaults on Christians and the Baby Jesus:
…..
#The mayor of Cranston, Rhode Island censored all religious displays.
…..
# A nativity scene in Olean, New York was removed from the City Hall lawn after Wiccans placed the pentacle alongside it.
…..
#After a Catholic sued and won demanding a crèche alongside a menorah in Briarcliff Manor, New York, local officials banned both the Christian and Jewish symbols.
…..
Please explain to me how banning all religious displays is a War on Christmas. Maybe I’m just obtuse. Someone gets uppity and removes the Christmas tree after a pentacle is put beside it, but that’s still part of the War on Christmas? That sounds more like spoiled brats who don’t want to share the public square with people of other faiths. But I digress.
Then, of course, are the many businesses that “refuse” to say Merry Christmas, choosing instead to say Happy Holidays. This is part of a conspiracy to destroy Christmas and Christians, of course. Christians must fight tooth and nail to turn the tide or Merry Christmas will be lost forever.
Anyhoo, amidst the War on Christmas the wingnuts have had ample time to notice the goings on in the LGBT world. For instance, Pat Robertson, in a recent episode of The 700 Club , claims that the LGBT population is so small that giving us protections from hate-crimes is simply not worth the effort.
Maximum- maximum – 2% of our population could consider themselves gay or homosexual, and about 1% would consider themselves lesbian. That’s it! … There’s one thing about having ten, fifteen percent or twenty percent of our population being discriminated against, that’s a different matter.
According to the American Family Association of PA a local anti-discrimination ordinance is part of the War on Christmas. After all, it was passed on December 17th while the fundagelicals were out supporting crass commercialism for Baby Jesus.
“Christmas time – the perfect time to push this type radical agenda through when everyone is busy with last minute shopping and preparation for the upcoming holidays. It appears the Borough Council is more interested in toeing the line drawn by homosexual and cross dressing activists than it is in taking steps to insure employers can make decisions that are best for their company,” Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA, commented.
Lawmakers should know better than to pass any law related to LGBT rights near a Christian holiday.
Even Mike Huckabee, working hard on the election trail, made an effort to send a little love our way.
On his final stretch of campaigning before the Christmas holiday, Huckabee underlined his lifelong opposition to abortion and gay marriage, issues that will likely drive many churchgoers to the Jan. 3 caucuses in Iowa. He spent Saturday traveling the western edge of Iowa, the most conservative part of the state, where Romney and another rival, former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson, campaigned late last week.
“It’s not because I don’t like them,” Huckabee said of gay people. “It’s because I like even more the idea that the heart and soul, the essence of our civilization is in the family. It’s not in the government. It’s not even in some institution, not even the church. Before there was the church, and before there was government, there was family.
“When you mess with the design, you end up messing with results,” he added. “We can’t afford to do that. That’s why you will never hear me waver.”
And what would the season be without Christmas carolers? Well these aren’t your typical carolers by any means.
Christmas carolers wearing shirts advertising anti-gay principles drew bespectacled looks from store patrons as they sang outside of a Sacramento Target store, officials said Saturday.
Officials said that the carolers said that they were peacefully protesting a new California law that prohibits discriminating against gays in school curriculum.
I tell you, I am amazed at the tenacity of those talibornigans. They’re out there in the trenches fighting against the Radical Secularists who want to destroy Christmas, working to make the world safe for Baby Jesus. They’re willing to write LTTEs, sign petitions, wring their hands and do whatever it takes to cram Christmas down people’s throats. Nevertheless they take the time out to notice what’s going on in LGBT land.
I feel so honored.

There has been a recent boon for LGBT people abroad. Uruguay became first Latin American country to legally recognize gay couples.
Uruguay’s Congress legalized civil unions for homosexual couples Tuesday in the first nationwide law of its kind in Latin America.
Under the new law, gay and straight couples will be eligible to form civil unions after living together for five years. They will have rights similar to those granted to married couples on such matters as inheritance, pensions and child custody.
Meanwhile Hungary legalized same-sex domestic partnerships.
Hungary’s parliament passed a law late on Monday that allows same-sex couples to register a civil partnership with many of the rights and obligations of marriage.
Registered couples will have the same rights as married heterosexual couples in inheritance, taxation and other financial matters.
But they will not be allowed to adopt children, unlike married couples.
Most recently in Nepal:
Nepal’s Supreme Court has ordered the government to scrap laws that discriminate against homosexuals.
The court ordered that sexual minorities should be guaranteed the same rights as other citizens.
…..
In their ruling, two Supreme Court judges said: “The government of Nepal should formulate new laws and amend existing laws in order to safeguard the rights of these people.
So what has the USA done for us lately?
They dropped the Hate-crimes bill (a.k.a. Matthew Shepard Act).
“We don’t have the votes,” said one House Democratic aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity because conference negotiations on the defense bill were ongoing. “We’re about 40 votes short, not four or six.”
And what about the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA)? That passed, sort of. You see, it doesn’t include protection for transgendered people. Apparently the bigots put up so much of a stink over TG individuals having employment protections that they were nixed from the bill. Of course even ENDA-lite still has to get past GWB so it’s not entirely safe yet.
So as other nations march bravely into the 21st century the USA limps along in a continuous struggle against bigots who fight valiantly to return us to the dark ages.
