British Gay-Basher Could Lose Home. Our Hearts Bleed.

The leader of a gang who beat up a lesbian couple on the driveway of their home because they were gay could be evicted from her home.
According to the Southern Daily Echo, bosses at Hyde Housing Association have said they will do everything in their power to take appropriate action against the 18 year old women, who cannot be named, including ultimately evicting her following the homophobic attack.

“We will be talking with our residents with a view to pursuing further action against those Hyde residents found guilty of the crime and ultimately, this could include eviction,” a Hyde Housing Association spokesman told the newspaper.
Nina Meffen and her partner Carol Cashmore were attacked outside their home in Southampton after being surrounded by a gang of youths. The attack was captured on CCTV cameras which had been installed outside the couple’s home following a campaign of homophobic incidents.
Nina, 36, was left with a broken nose, severe bruising and irreparable breathing difficulties while Carol, 42, suffered concussion after being also repeatedly hit over the head. The incident took place on 31 July 2006 and was witnessed by their daughter Jodie, 10.
